Exhibitor Resources

The 2020 IEEE PES T&D Conference will be April 20-23 in Chicago, Illinois and we look forward to seeing even more companies & attendees in 2020. Please contact Shawn Boon, (972) 521-9902 if you have any questions.

What’s New in 2020:
  1. We are adding two Exhibitor Innovation Stages inside the exhibit hall. For the first time exhibitors will be given the opportunity to be a Technical Program Content Supporter.   The $3,000 supporter fee will allow your company to present on one of two Innovation Stages in the exhibit hall.  The committee will be looking for presentations by companies that can showcase innovative ideas, practices or products for practical application that will be of interest to the broad base of the attendees.    Note: the supporter fee will not be collected until after the committee has selected the approved presentations. The purpose of this new initiative is to allow exhibitors to share their innovations, knowledge, and best practices in a technical venue.
  2. We are excited to announce the launch of a new exhibitor meeting room program that was designed to create an opportunity for exhibitors to have private suites or demo areas near their booths so the clients and your team members don’t have to leave the show floor. This area includes a reception space for you to wait for your guests to arrive or to just have a seat and charge your phone before heading back to your booth! This area is reserved strictly for exhibitors that have reserved a suite and their guests. Attendees will be greeted at the entrance to the meeting room complex and provided directions to the proper suite if needed.
  3. A new Media Center will be located near the registration entrance with an area for the press attendees to host interviews.  Exhibitors are encouraged to upload their press releases or details into the press section of their directory listing. This information will be shared with the registered press attendees.

  1. Login to your Exhibitor Portal to submit, approve and upgrade your online listing; make online booth payments; review invoices and submit contact changes.

  2. Deadlines: Pay attention to the deadlines. Whether the deadline is for discounts to save you money on services you need to last chance dates to provide critical information. Review the deadlines page to ensure you are taking advantage of every option available. Ordering prior to the deadlines can save you up to 30 percent.

  3. Beware of Poachers: Exhibitors are often contacted by various vendors looking to get your business. Some of these companies may misrepresent themselves as being associated with IEEE PES T&D. You may be solicited by housing companies, third-party audio-visual suppliers and even some companies asking about your exhibitor listing. Only the vendors listed on the vendor contact page are associated with our event and promoted by IEEE PES T&D. I have listed our partner companies below for easy reference.

    • Housing - Connections Housing
    • Audio Visual - Freeman
    • Directory/Program Listings - IEEE PES T&D or Canfield Event Management. (PLEASE NOTE: We are not associated with Fair Guide).
    • Furniture, Carpet, Labor, Domestic Shipping, etc. – Freeman
    • Customs Broker/International Shipping – Agility Fairs
  1. Minimize labor costs for installation and dismantling:
    • If shipping direct, schedule your labor for the day after your target delivery date. Freeman cannot guarantee what time your freight will be delivered to your booth on the day it arrives.
    • Number your crates according to content. Attach a diagram with instructions for exhibit setup and include electrical requirements and repacking instructions.
    • Submit electrical and telecommunications floorplans in advance. This allows Freeman and the Convention Center to review prior to your arrival onsite.
