Korea Electrical Manufacturers' Cooperative was established in 1962 by heavy equipment makers for the development of electrical industry in Korea and improvement of economic status of the cooperative members. The Cooperative has accomplished the localization of power generation, transmission, substation, and indoor-wiring materials manufacturing, that have been dependent on imports for the past years. The Cooperative has also made progress in exporting its production equipment to developed countries.

Brands: KEMC declared the vision of "The Cooperative leading the world electric industry", aming to be the "cooperative for the cooperative members" and "the Self-maintaining cooperative".
