THE NEXT FIFTY
We are celebrating our first fifty years of ideas, growth and success as we look toward the Next Fifty years of innovation. The IEEE PES T&D Organizing Committee, the City of Chicago, our host utility ComEd (an Exelon Company), and the hundreds of volunteers that have dedicated their time and expertise invite you to join us for the 2014 IEEE PES Transmission & Distribution Conference & Exposition in Chicago, Illinois, April 14 – 17, 2014.
This landmark event will showcase the technologies, products, companies and minds that will lead our industry through the Next Fifty years – and beyond. So come join us in 2014 and be part of the future.
We will provide a comprehensive conference program with a robust Opening Session featuring futurist Daniel Burrus, Super Sessions, Tutorials, Panel and Poster Sessions, an Educational Track and will introduce Forum Sessions to round out a complete informational package that will allow you to earn both CEUs and PDH credits.
At this year’s Conference and Exposition there will be over 700 exhibitors – both national and international – on site to showcase their latest products and services. This will enable attendees the opportunity to learn from an experienced professional in a classroom environment. Then, experience the real world applications and hands-on demonstrations from the exhibitors.
At the 2014 IEEE PES Transmission & Distribution Conference & Exposition, you will have the opportunity to network with professionals from across the United States, including the top 20 utility companies. In addition, more than 80 countries from around the world will be represented.
We invite you to participate in the technical tours of various industrial facilities: ComEd’s Rockford Training Center & Lee DeKalb Wind Energy Center, ComEd’s Operation’s Control Center, Exelon City Solar & Wallace “Smart Substation”, IIT’s Microgrid, and Elmhurst Substation VAR Compensator (SVC).
Our many social events including the Conference Opening Reception on Monday evening at the Museum of Science and Industry are not to be missed. Please see the details of this and all other receptions, luncheons, and student activities included here. Also, don’t forget to bookmark www.ieeet-d.org for updates on all happenings.
We are excited to celebrate our first fifty years, but even more excited about revealing our Next Fifty years to you. We look forward to you joining us at the 2014 IEEE PES Transmission & Distribution Conference & Exposition in Chicago, Illinois.
